This is 1 of the 11 new Fire Engines purchased by the Wayne County Volunteer Fire Dept. Inc. This one is located at the Pleasant Grove Fire Station 43. It is the Contender Series by Pierce Fire Apparatus Co. It has an all aluminum fire body. The roll up doors on this fire body will reduce the chance that a door will be torn off. The Mid-Ship Pump Panel is all about safety for the pump operator which will keep him/her out of the flow of traffic on highways, roads, and streets. It will improve fire scene safety
because the operator will have a birds eye view of the scene. The Fire Body is built on the International Chasse which sports a330 hp diesel engine,  Automatic Allison Transmission. The fire pump is a Hale 1250 gpm. All of the plumbing is stainless steel, the booster tank is made of ploy which will reduce tank and plumbing problems down the road. We at the Pleasant Grove Fire Station 43 are very happy with this new fire engine and look forward to many years of service.
